Well, there are different resolutions that people have posted on the internet. I tried everyting from adding exceptions to firewall policy, disabling firewall, completely uninstalling firewall, changing compatibility mode, setting privilages as administrator, etc. None worked. The solution is kind of odd, yet it worked for me: changing regional settings format to English !
Hope it helps someone who is looking for a solution ![]()
Just bought a Samsung Smart TV and installed Samsung AllShare on my Windows 7 PC.
If I copy a video into the default video shared folder then the AllShare application shows that video in its file list Window and I can play it using AllShare. The Smart TV can all browse into that shared folder and play the video. It all works as expected.
However, I keep all my videos in a different folder. If I add that folder to AllShare then the file list Window shows no video files. Strangely it will show sub-folders but no files. Same thing when I browse using the Smart TV.
I read elsewhere that this might be a permissions problem. So I set the permissions of both the folder and files to 'everyone' and full access but still this doesn't work.
How to fix this? Or is there a better forum to post this question in?
