Samsung 9 Series Crashing on Startup

by Andyx1x / May 16, 2009 4:38 AM PDT

Please help! My LE46A959 lcd is not starting up anymore Sad

All the lights come on in sequence on the frame, but the power light (The bottom one) keeps flashing 7 times, then pausing for a bit, then flashes 7 times again over and over again.

It won't go past this 'test' phase, no more tv, any advice? Is there a way that I can reset it, or do I need to call Samsung out?

The set is only 2 months old.

Thanks in advance,
Andy

Andyx1x,

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue.

I could offer that unplugging the unit for a while might temporarily solve the trick, but a better answer is to have a technician come out and look at it while the problem is happening.

Keep me posted.

Thank you for your prompt reply, but I've tried everything that I can think of.

I was hoping that the 7 flashes on the power light might be a fault code of some type that would point me in the direction of a solution.

Sounds trivial, but have you pressed the "TV" button on your remote? Something similar happened to my parents when an input was no longer connected and the screen went black.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
