Samsung 8000 series says no signal for HDMI?

My church is trying to run an HDMI signal to be displayed on TV's in the lobby. The HD is extended over two CAT5e cables through Calrad extenders. We have Samsung 8000 series LED TV's but when I switch the source to HDMI they say no signal. I know it is wired correctly and it is within the range the extenders say they should work because we brought another monitor and hooked it to that, the signal wasn't perfect but the picture displayed fine. Any ideas?
