samsung 7000 led tv lan autonegotiation problem

by yohny99 / January 7, 2010 3:54 AM PST

Hello,

I have a problem when I connect the samsung led tv UE40B7020WW using Asus WL-500Gx with LAN cable.
TV DHCP client does not work at all and when I setup the IP of the TV manually,
there is a strange behaviour. Test of ping gateway fails and when I ping the TV's
ip address, there is about 95-98 % packet loss. This looks, like a problem on link
layer and on Samsung TV or incompatibility between Samsung and Asus auto negotiation implementation.

My further investigation on asus router showed that the link flaps between Down and 100Mbit Full Duplex state.

The problem has not appeared when using other router.

My question is that if there is a way to setup the samsung TV not to use auto negotiation but to use 100Mbit Full Duplex ?

Thanks a lot for answers

Jan
