"started to shut off after about 10 months"

I'm missing part of the story here. What happened at 10 months? Did you call it in?

That is, I'm finding folk that get signs there is something wrong with a product but they don't call it in. Later they get burned up about the failure out of warranty.

In spite of all that, keep your cool, register your product at samsung.com then call 1-800-samsung to see what can be done. There are a long list of products that have special issues and are repaired after the warranty has expired.

Thanks for your reply..well i did not even think it was shutting off at 10 months. i would walk out of the room to get a soda or something then come back a few min latter and the tv would be off.. i was thinking i was getting old and i forgot to turn it on.this happened maybee 1 time a month until about 3 months ago when it became worse.I did not even think about it.i thought i was getting old and forgetting

I'm not sure

But registering at samsung gets you 3 more months. So the shutoff at 10 months let you have from 2 to 5 months (not sure here) to get it reported.

But the advice is to keep your cool, register then call it in and hope.
