Question

Samsung 6500 3d led tv issue

by bobx15 / December 5, 2011 5:03 AM PST

I bought this 2 months ago, there are some clouding issues, is a bit annoying during dark scenes when I watch at night but the real problem that annoys me is jsut north of center there is a 3 inch strip that goes horizontally across the screen that is about 2 brightness levels higher.

In most cases it is not noticeable, you really have to look for it, but now i know its there it irritates me. You especially see it when the screen pans from top to bottom.

its it normal for the backlighting to not be uniform, where there are sections that are off a few nits.

It is very small and I fear if I ask samsung to repair that and the clouding they will look at me like a idiot, a picky idiot.

thanks

Hi Bobx15: I just bought this TV a month ago, had it delivered last week and am experiencing the same cloudy issues. Did you resolve your issue?? I'm nervous because geek squad installed the TV and it's in wall now. So returning/exchanging might be a problem. I don't have any bar issues, but sometimes the dimming/darkness pops almost adjusting itself and getting stuck as well.

Let me know. Thanks..
