Question

Samsung 65" 7500 sound issues

Feb 2, 2015 4:41PM PST

Hi all, I have recently upgraded to a 65" 7500 series 4k tv, after setting up I was very disappointed with the sound quality, a severe lack of depth quality and bass, anyway thinking it was due to the slimness of the tv I thought I'd look for a sound bar.
The next day when using the tv the sound had vastly improved, lots of bass clarity and I was happy, I put it down to maybe the speakers loosening up.
After 3 weeks the sound quality varies, some days it sounds awfull as if a subwoofer is not working (Is there one built in?) and others it's fine, there is a intermittent problem but its going to be hard to prove unless anyone on here could explain to me what could be happening, does anyone know how many speakers are inside? I can hear the left and right on both occasions when the sound is poor and good.
Thanks

Definitely a problem

Been playing with the tv today as its my day off, Had the tv on for 3 hours no sound issues, lots of bass and clear, I then turned it off for 30 mins then back on to find the sound was terrible no bass at all and had to have the volume on 50 to hear it.
I have found that the tv has 2 tweeters 2 mid range speakers and 2 subwoofers inside, up on turning the tv off from the wall and back on again the sound returns as normal, so i think its a software issue, regarding the 2 subwoofers not being powered up, also plenty of air movement can be felt on the underside of the tv when the sound is good, but when it goes bad no air can be felt so its the subs at fault.

Let's cover one thing.

Samsung has this mode that can really upset a good setup. Over the years it's been called Shop or Demo mode. The settings reset from time to time so be sure it's not in that mode.

This is a new model so if you feel the software isn't ready, decide if it's worth keeping. Software updates are not a sure thing. I'd make sure to let the seller know it may be coming back.

The problem goes away once unplugged from the wall for 5 mins, the problem returns if put on to standby for a few minutes then turned back on, I'm guessing a relay that powers the amplifier that runs the subs is not working but resets once power is removed.

I have contacted Samsung and gone through a factory reset but the problem still exists, the next step is an engineers visit
