Question

Samsung 62" TV

Jan 2, 2015 11:33PM PST

We have to turn off and on the TV by unplugging it. Then the picture is fine. After awhile it freezes and loses color. Then we unplug it and plug it in and it is fine. Don't think it is the projection bulb because we replace it about a year and a half ago and this problem is different then that one.

Many DLPs need repeated service.

Since a lot of heat is created, about every 1 to 2 years you need to clean vents and if it gets this bad your tech opens it up to dust, check fans and heat sinks. Has this work been done?

We can now turn it off and on with the remote and can work the volume and have sound but no picture. Until about 5 minutes and the picture gradually comes up.
