Samsung 60" LED TV problem

I have a 5 year old Samsung 60" LED TV. Recently I noticed a 1 inch gray line running down the extreme left hand side of the screen. It is somewhat transparent as i can see the picture behind it. Is there a fix for this...or am I doomed? -Thank you for any comments.

Depends on the service shop.

Some shops are better than others. It's usually a sign of well, I won't say since it's not user serviceable.
