Samsung 56 inch DLP-small white dots all over screen!

May 2, 2014 2:19PM PDT

model # HL56A650C TV is about 4 years old. A few months after a move, a small white dot cluster showed up in the lower corner. Now, about 6 months later, there are white dots all over the screen! I am going to order another bulb to see if that's the problem but I'm not sure it is. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

Always call that in.

And ask for any deal on the repair. Sometimes they cover the part, sometimes nothing. And yes, widely discussed on all the makes that used that part. Not exclusive to Samsung and we are now into the time frame we'll see this failure every day.

Bob, are you a representative of Samsung and if so do I call Samsung directly or look for a Samsung dealer in my area? Can you tell me the name of the part that needs to be replaced?

No and no.

But I could guess it's the DMD again. Here's a video on another model where you can see before, after and what the DMD looks like good and bad.

I only offer advice which is to ask for any deal. Ask them to cover part or labor or both.
