My 3 year old samsung plasma tv has started loosing picture(but sound remains) whenever it feels like it.Sometimes turning it off for 5mins works, but sometimes not.It sometimes goes days without a problem, then it sometimes plays up every day.It does not matter what program you are watching either an hd channel or kids channel or on playback from the sky box

martinloker,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this issue.

In some cases, this may be a temporary HDCP issue with the cable/sat box. Try unplugging (or refreshing/updating) the box to see if that helps. When video is not passed, but audio is, that can indicate an issue with the HDCP settings in the box. Often times, a reset can fix this.

Thanks for replying. It used to do it with the old sky box as well. That's why we got the hd sky+ box to see if it was the box or the tv.Do you mean reset the tv or the sky box

martinloker,

I meant the Skybox. In some cases, unplugging it may reset it, and in other cases, the ability to update it (usually done while you're on the phone with the support center) may be an option as well to fix some of the issues when this happens.

Trying to consider options, as it's hard to determine where the source of the problem is.

Meet the drop-resistant Moto Z2 Force

The Moto Z2 Force is really thin, with a fast processor and great battery life. It can survive drops without shattering.
