To Samsung_HD_tech,
I called 800 SAMSUNG (totally useless) and I put a work ticket in to see how much it will cost to fix the DMD board on my 4 year old tv. I bought an extended warranty from Circuit City for four years and the TV started having white dots appear one week (6-1-11) after the expiration of the extended warranty. SAMSUNG's automated email system keeps notifiying me that the work tickets are cancelled a few hours after I call them in (not sure why plus NO one called me from a service center to set up a service call OR let me know how much it would cost for repair).
I see that the white dots are a common problem related to the DMD circuit board in SAMSUNG HD TVs but I also see that SAMSUNG will not repair the problem for free even though it is such a common problem with their TVs. I will NEVER EVER buy SAMSUNG products again NOR will I recommend them to my friends or enemies.
I see on some threads that someone from SAMSUNG helped to get a free one-time repair authorized on the same exact model and manufacture date that I have. My model is: HLT5076SX/XAA Manufactured on: April 2007.
Can anyone help me get a free repair or tell me where to get the DMD board from? I am a computer technician and I am very capable of installing the board myself if I can get one.
Thank you.
