Question

Samsung 4kuhd hdmi component problems

Apr 15, 2016 11:27PM PDT

Hello, I recently bought a samsung 4kuhd TV I've notice that sometimes my TV won't detect my hdmi cables. I would have to unplug the hdmi cables from the tv and re plug them in a different hdmi port for it to work. It'll work a few times but sometimes it'll act up again and I would have to repeat the same process over again and again. I hate it! I really don't want to ruin my hdmi ports that's on any of my devices. Has anyone else experienced this as well? Does anyone have a good answer for me? Would I need to buy a hundred dollar hdmi cable? Please I need some answers!

Answer
I'm using AmazonBasics for cables.

These are under 10 dollars so my answer is no.

HOWEVER there continue to be HDMI handshake issues. If your new set has this issue, move fast to not let the return policy lag. Sometimes you'll find a box or Samsung that just won't work over HDMI. That's why you move fast to call Samsung or just return it as defective.

I would recommend using a 3.0 version HDMI cable or higher. Does this happen on multiple devices?
