Samsung 40inch LCD (LN40C610) - adjustments?

Jan 17, 2011 2:42PM PST

Hi... some of the reviews for this model state that with normal cable television (non-HDTV or while playing normal DVDs, that this model blurreds etc.

I do not have HD cable service... only digital basic cablebox service and likely will not upgrade. Also, have a regular old DVD player. I was thinking of trying my first Big Screen TV and this one is on said for $CAN 699 and I'm tempted.

Are there any settings that I can adjust to allow this model to have decent quality when hooked directly on the non-HD cable service or play back normal non-blueray DVDs??? Or is this way to much television for what I need.?

(I MAY get a Blue-ray or upgrade to HD cable at a later date.
