I have a 1 year old Samsung 40 inch HD smart TV and during the recent Chennai floods, the airtel setup box signal was lost. When it came back after few days, realized that the TV started turning off and on every 3 minutes. I called Samsung customer service and they told me to reset it. When I did, it got stuck in the 3rd step where it was trying to download the latest smart hub info and started switching on and off ever 10 sec. I could neither quit the step not kill it or do anything with the remote. Finally had to call the technician and he replaced the mother board and had to shell out around Rs 9000 including service tax for the mother board also along with his labor charge and service tax for his labor. What a crap? Never thought, a lost of airtel digital signal for few days would cost me that much money. Wouldn't recommend Samsung TV to anyone.
