Question

Samsung 3D glasses SSG-3100GB not working

Dec 21, 2014 3:03PM PST

Hello everyone

I've purchased Samsung 59 inch Plasma TV back in 2011 which comes with 2 pairs of SSG-3100GB glasses. All is operating fine when today these glasses refused to turn on. I've inserted brand new batteries but they're still not working.

I'm worried if this is a problem in TV or in glasses? If TV's 3D function is tuned off and I press on/off button on glasses then what should happen? There is no blinking red/green light on glasses, not even red light for one second. Is it normal? Are these glasses only turned on when 3D function of TV is activated?

How to tell whether TV is sending 3D signals to glasses? 2011 models use Bluetooth to communicate signals aren't they?

I don't have another pair of glasses. Please someone tell me how can I determine if this is a fault of TV or of glasses. If I assume that these glasses won't turned on unless TV is sending 3D signals then it looks like a fault in TV. But if glasses can be turned on (at least for one second, if I assume they must blink green then red and then turn off) without 3D signals then glasses are faulty.

Anxiously waiting for someone's reply

I don't understand your reply. You have these glasses? Can they be turned on without TV signals, just for a brief second?

no I don't have those glasses but I did try them 2/3 years ago and at that time you can turn it on without a signal from the tv.
