Question

Samsung 32" FH LED Smart TV - No picture Maybe Sound

There have been many times I have turned on my Samsung 32" Smart TV and either or both sound and picture may not come on. If I turn it off and pull the plug and turn it back on the TV usually works. I installed this TV on 7-23-2018 and the TV is still under warranty. I have contacted Samsung support 4 different times and requested a new on the 4th support call. I was told I had to bring it in for repair which is 80 miles away. Is there a solution to my problem or who should I contact at Samsung to get this TV replaced.

I hear about this a lot.

Samsung's policy is that on 32 inch and under it's a bring it in unit.

Did they at least check the firmware version and update it if there was newer?

Did you try a factory reset? And after the factory reset NEVER install any apps? Use it as-is?

PS. As to replacement

In reply to: I hear about this a lot.

I can't answer that. As it was obtained in 7-2018 the only seller I know that the last company that swaps them is Costco but they don't tend to sell the smaller sets. Again, I can't answer what it takes to get it swapped out.

PS. Edited for grammar.

I was told that a technician could be sent out but they cannot find one. They are looking into sending us a box and addressed label to send it in. Firmware version was checked. A factory reset was completed. No additional apps have been installed. Thank you for your response. We will wait and see what happens.

7th call in resulted in Samsung going to send out a repair man to either fix or pick up TV. Just have to wait and see what happens. Hopefully we should know by Monday, February 18, 2019. BTW - we purchased this TV directly from Samsung.
