The 2514n is just a standard, internal, PATA hard drive...no software or drivers are necessary. Some steps I'd take, though, include:
1.) Check Disk Management (admin option in the Control Panel) and see if the drive is being displayed there.
2.) Verify the hard drive data and power cables are properly connected.
3.) Verify that the jumper settings are correct for it being a slave drive.
4.) Feel the hard drive while connected and see if you can feel the disk spinning.
5.) Try connecting it externally through an external enclosure or connecting it internally to another computer.
