Question

Samsumg TV, cant get sound in the audio out jack

by lfolloquia / October 9, 2016 5:40 PM PDT

I have a samsumg tv and I can't get any sound to the audio out jack. I have connected wireless and wired headphones but I dont get any sound. I have selected in the menu/sound/speaker settings/ TV sound output the option audio out. I have put audio format in PCM. I have a 60 led TV. Model UN60H. Samsumg does not have a solution. I have reset the tv twice.

Thanks.

Clarification Request
There are too many models in the UN60H line.

If you want a fast answer use the chat at samsung.com, in the USA at 1800SAMSUNG or the shop that sold it.

Complete Model number is UN60H6153AF
by lfolloquia / October 10, 2016 8:19 AM PDT

The complete model is UN60H6153AF. Samsum USA won't give the support because I bought in Mexico. Samsumg Mexico gave a solution that is wrong. They tell me to select "Aux" in the speakers. However if I used any set of speakers, wireless or wired headphones I don't get any sound. I believe the problem is that the TV is not sending the audio to the audio out jack. I bouught the TV at Sams. Thanks

If you still have warranty, and you forgot to check for or pay for international warranty, you have to go back to Mexico to have it fixed under warranty. That can't be a surprise.

It you don't have warranty, you'll need to pay for the repair. That can't be a surprise either. If it's just a bad contact, it won't be that expensive. Find a tech and have them have a look.

If you moved it over a border without an international warranty you may be chuffed about how that works (it doesn't without the international warranty.)

I'd forget this and try an optical to analog box or (you didn't say what the final goal was) a sound bar that takes optical.

I don't have a warranty - I live in Mexico

In reply to: Frankly.

I haven´t tried through the digital, I will try that. I bought it Mexico and I live in Mexico. The problem is that here nobody has been able to help me. The warranty expired because I bought the TV about 1.5 years ago, I didn't try that output before, until I bought my wireless headphones. I didn’t had the opportunity to use the audio out jack. thanks

I was under the impression that it was one of the usual moves across a border and was wrong.

Anyhow, optical gives us a second chance.

Update Information - Same problem

The complete model # is UN60H6153AF. I live in Mexico and have my TV in Mexico. Samsung Mexico gave me a solution that is wrong (I think so). They told me to select "Aux" in the speakers. However if I used any set of speakers, wireless or wired headphones I don't get any sound. I believe the problem is that the TV is not sending the audio to the audio out jack.

The warranty expired because I bought the TV about 1.5 years ago, I didn't try that output before, I did it until I bought my wireless headphones. I didn’t had the necessity to use the audio out jack before. I bought the TV at Sams, so they are not able to help me.

I will try to connect the headphones to the digital out jack to see if I get any sound. If someone know of a different solution I will appreciate it. Thanks

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
