Sampo/Samsung hpn5039

Feb 4, 2009 3:56AM PST

The Sampo/Samsung HPN5039 has a picture but no green tint. color range from red to blue, no green. It has a lot of vertical dancing pixel lines usually black. Looks like the pixels trying to refresh with a color missing. It has 1 horizontal line across the dead center. This line is 2-3 pixel width not fat.
What boards to replace?
I say NO GREEN because I hooked it up to vga RGB and changed the color of my desk top to green and get black. I turn the screen to yellow I get red. Red=RED Blue=Blue.

Any Help??

Yes I know. This happens on all inputs. It needs service. I want to buy parts and service myself. I need to know what boards control this. My understanding it can be one of three boards, that can be narrowed down by some voltage tests at certain points. This is type of info looking for. But thank you for your assistance

spoogemoolie,

If you want to try to get the parts yourself, you could check out www.samsungparts.com - Also, if you want, you can call 800-SAMSUNG and be transfered to our parts department; perhaps they can give you some direction on which part you might need - but not all of them are technicians.

Hope that helps.
