by cbrseadude / March 2, 2009 12:59 AM PST

Im thinking about buying another Xbox360 in addition to the one I already have, is there any way to have the same xboxlive account on both consoles? I wouldnt be using them on line at the same time, I just dont like moving the console from room to room. Is this possible?

You would just have # 2 find the account... and I think you would be good... Had a friend log on to my account from his Xbox ...

Just don't be on at the same time...

Yea I wouldnt be on them at the same time. My old xbox will sign on as well so i figured if i switched my gamer tag to the new one it would still work with the 1st one. I would just like to be able to take advantages of xbox live with out having to move the game console around between the living room and the bonus room.

so really, if I use xbox#1 in the bonus room on xboxlive, but I want to use xbox#2 in the living room to watch netflix, I can just take the hard drive off xbox#1 and attach it to xbox#2, cuz the gamer tag used to log onto xbox live is saved on xbox#1 hard drive, right? So there shouldnt be any ip adress problems, this should work I think.

Each xbox will have it's own IP address on your network as assigned by your router/hub/whatever you use. The hard drives are not linked to the IP address at all. Both my husband and I have an xbox 360 and frequently swap the hard drives over depending on who's fighting over the big TV to play on!!!!
So yes, it really is that easy to use one profile on two xboxes! (hard rive may be a little tricky to remove first time but does loosen up without any problems)

Ok I have the same idea as above but I am using an Older Xbox 360 and a new Xbox 360 Slim version. How would I go about doing this?

You can't

You can't since the HDD module for the older and newer 360s are not compatible (because of size more than any other reason).

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
