Samsung brand new defective dryer

Dryer defective

Upon further consideration, I am not letting anyone else into my home amid coronavirus. Reason.... I was told over the phone that the company would use precaution against the spread of the coronavirus and that was not the case at all. Your company sent employee in my home without a mask, protective gloves and cleaner to spray down what was touched. As this behavior compromises my health and life, please don’t come back to my home to spend anytime inside.
My life and health is worth more than a defective dryer sold to me by Home Depot and Sam sung. I never got a chance to use it because it didn’t get hot when I tried to use it. I didn’t even have the dryer 30 days. Also other damages was hid under tape that was left on the machine. Once removed, I reported the damages. Since it was hidden my 48 hours to report such damages should have started at that point. In hindsight I don’t understand why delivery personnel should be allowed to leave tape on machines, as I brought a washer as well. Tape left on both. It still has tape on the front of it. It was not removed by the delivery team 3 men who I could hardly speak English too. This kind of customer service is 2unacceptable and will not be taken lightly.

Since you have a 1 year warranty, call them again when the corona crisis is over.

Washer and dryer delivered February 21, 2020
I had been shifted around on the phone for about a week, Home Depot had me on hold one day 35 plus minutes. Tech guy came Friday March 20, 2020
My point really is that fact they sent a non working damaged dryer to me. I have not even got 1 use out of it. I haven’t even made 1 payment and don’t plan on it. If I used at least once I would consider letting someone back in at a later time.

Where did this happen?

In the USA I see stores delivering or contracting out said products and services. The delivery companies are, yes, not ready for the pandemics.

Take the seller to task here.

Time to call the lender.

And state that they delivered a non-working damaged unit. Do not get into COVID-19 concerns. Use "Just the facts." Keep this simple. It's damaged, not working and you do not want another one from them.

Tell everyone they had their chance and you are going elsewhere.

In addition.....

....put pressure on the store you bought it from to try to resolve this. Document everything including who you talked to, when you spoke with them and everything they offered to do or what they actually did. Take pictures of the dryer from several angles.

I guarantee that whoever came to service the dryer does not work for Samsung directly, they were contracted to service the dryer.

Personal story similar to yours....

Several years ago I had an issue with a riding lawnmower that I bought from Lowes. I bought a floor model and when I got it home, it wouldn't start. When the store and manufacturer said it was the other party's responsibility, I went directly to the store where I bought it and demanded to speak with the store manager. We got the issue resolved to my satisfaction within the hour.

OP, I hope you can get this resolved satisfactorily.
