Safe to delete .pf (Windows prefetch) files?

May 31, 2005 11:24AM PDT

Running Windows XP SP1. I removed a program using Add/Remove Programs. However, I found that three file remnants of that program still remain in the Windows Prefetch section of Windows Explorer. These are ...exe.pf files. Is it safe to just delete these files?

Read HERE (scroll down)and other Googled results and decide for youself. I supposed if the .pf files are program specific, it is safe to delete them if you have removed that program. Wait for other ideas.
