Many are under the impression that NTSC or PAL is a quality video signal. Sorry, it's not. It's all of some 400 lines (depending on standard) and should be pretty ratty.
Go for SVIDEO from the PC. That's about as good as it gets until you move to HD.

my samsung HL-P5067W does not have VGA or DVI inputs and i'm trying to figure out a HIGH QUALITY way to connect my PC to the TV (which leaves out composite and S-video connections). some of the ATI video cards come with a converter cable that plugs into the S-video out and outputs it to component video. has anyone tried that? i'd imagine that is still not very high quality since the signal is still an analog S-video signal split among the red, blue and green channels. thoughts?
