S-Video Settings for Dell 2405FPW and Game Console

Mar 17, 2006 6:26AM PST

So I just hooked up my Game Cube to the S-Video input on my Dell 2405FPW, and faced the rude awakening that game consoles are designed for TV resolutions.

It's playable, but it's not really pretty looking. Things are either too sharp (jagged edges) or there's not enough detail. I think part of this is that the monitor is stretching the image to fill more of the screen (but still not all, even in games that allow 16:9 ratio).

So does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get a better picture out of this setup? Any experience with what image settings in the monitor the try? I'm not expecting a ton, but any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
