S-Video not working

Jul 31, 2009 2:41PM PDT

This is in regard to my roommates laptop, For some reason his s-video not working. It never has been used before but today when he went to use his s-video to connect to the TV it would not work. The TV was fine because I eventually used my computer with that TV. What could prevent the S-Video from working? BTW it is a Dell vostro 1500 laptop. Thanks again.

F key was different
Aug 1, 2009 10:46AM PDT

Thanks. I posted in the Dell forum and they gave me a link. It was something stupid. He was pressing the fn+f4 which I use with my HP instead of fn+f8 which you have to do with Dell laptops to alternate the screens. We did not know that computer manufacturers assign F keys differently.
