S-Video In on laptop

how do i use it? i have something plugged into my S-Video in on laptop but i dont know how to get it on my laptop. Do i need software to render the video on my computer?

I have an Alienware Aurora M9700

What you need

What you need then is some sort of a video capture program. Presumably, if your laptop came with s-video input support, it came with some software to make use of it. Unless you got it post-Dell merger and Dell decided that was one more way to pad the profit margins.
