S&D false positive?

Yesterday I installed Spybot S&D1.6.0 and it reported BugDoctor hkey_classes_root\bdr. I quarantined it ,when I put a cursor over it it says BugDoctor.zip

I have BoClean and McAfee Security Centre running on my computer. I assumed that this is enough to prevent any nasties. My son , a University student occasionally uses my computer to print documents from his memory stick, I scanned this with S&D - nothing found.

Thank You
WinVista Premium,
McAfee Security Centre, BoClean , Firefox, MailwasherPro, Eudora,SpywareBlaster,
SPI router

cannot run MBAB

In reply to: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.......

I originally tried to scan with MBAB, but it stopped responding after about 40 seconds of scan and I couldn't even abort the scan, had to reboot the computer. I assumed that McAfee prevents it from running , but there is nothing in the McAfee log, MBAB just freezes- hence my post on this forum

Yes, McAfee do not like MBAM

In reply to: cannot run MBAB

Marcin (aka Rubber Ducky) of MBAM is aware:

Others have work-around by renaming mbam but it's not a fix. Please report it also in MBAM forum if you want to use MBAM while McAfee is the resident antivirus.

Spybot S&D have detection on BugDoctor - http://spybot.info/en/updatehistory/page-5.html
If you do not have BugDoctor program, you can always restore that quarantine items.

I suggest to send the log at their False Positive forum:

Thanks Donna

never had anything to do with BugDoctor program. That's what made me think, after the initial 5min panic, that it must be a false positive
