Question

Ryzen 2700x won't boot even with BIOS updated

Dec 17, 2018 10:42AM PST

This problem is seriously breaking my head.

A month ago I got myself a new PC build, you can see the pieces here:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/F37br6

However when trying to boot it up, it's not giving me display of video at all, after getting a boot kit processor and successfully updating the BIOS from version 10 to 22, it STILL won't show any display, what's going on??? I brought it to a technician who told me all parts were perfectly ensambled so that's not a problem here and I have no idea what else could be the problem.

Answer
That's a motherboard issue.

Resetting the CMO's didn't work

Does this mean I should then buy a new motherboard? Processor didn't show any signals of being damaged (no smell of burning nor broken pins) so is the motherboard the indisputable issue here?

No, it can be disputed.

But when I see this I swap in a board that we know works. Usually cures it.

If you don't have spares, contact the motherboard maker support for what to do next.
