That you have to test each part. We usually start with the PSU on its own with the "green wire test" (google that) with some load on the rails. Then the Volt Meter to see if the rails are good.
Then the motherboard, CPU, and nothing else for a power up test. We just want to get a power up and down here. Keep in mind there is no case yet. We'll add one stick of RAM and if some Intel we usually have video but if no onboard vide a shop graphics card is pulled in to see if we have a BIOS screen.
This continues until we find a part that won't let the machine function. We skip that until we have a working PC ready to be put into the case. As we put it into the case we make sure there are no EXTRA MOUNTING POSTS.
OK so yesterday i was using my pc for gaming all day it seemed normal but when i tried to start it up today it would not turn on. So on the back of the power supply i flipped the power switch on and off and it seemed like it wanted to start it came on for like a split sec and that happen 2 or 3 times. That is when my gpu started smoking and some sparks for a sec so im going to a repair shop to see whats wrong. Any ideas what could have happened my power supply is a cx 600m corsair. Im just wondering if any of my other parts in my pc are dead...
