Runtime Error

Jan 31, 2005 9:22PM PST

Hi There can any of you chaps help me when I am on broadband and when I go to connect and the home page starts to load it keeps coming up with "A Run time error has occured do you wish to debug" "line ??? object expected" where I have put the question marks there is a line no. I click NO. and this happens with various other line numbers untill the page is loaded.
I am running a dual boot system one with XP pro and the other windows 98 SE when I am in the 98 operating system I have no problems this only happens in XP why should this be. Also this only seems to happen on my home page. Any help will be very much appreciated. Kindest regards Tony B.

Tony, Have You Tried ??

While in Internet Explorer, click on "Tools" in the upper left, choose "Intenet Options". When that loads, click on the "Advanced" tab, then scroll down to the "Browsing" section and place a CHECK mark in the boxes that say: "Disable Script Debugging" (Internet Explorer & Other). Click on "Apply", then OK.

The error you are seeing is usually related to some bad coding on a webpage which isn't your fault, or possibly, if you're using a HOSTS file, the HOSTS file is blocking some of the advertisements on the page and the lack of the ad is causing the error.

Hope this helps.
