The Dual Core is indeed supported by XP Home. It's a play on words here so I won't rewrite it more than once.
XP Home = 1 Processor (not limited to 1 core) and Core 2 Duo works fine.
Hope this helps.

I just got my first Mac yesterday, a 20 inch iMac with 1 Gig memory, Core 2 Duo. (In fact, it is still in the box.) While I look forward to learning the MAC OS and ease-of-use advantages of which I have read, I still would like to be able to run XP with Boot Camp at home from time to time because I use WIN XP at work. The sales associate at Comp USA told me that WIN XP Home does not support the two processor setup, and that I would need XP Pro or Media Edition. Can anyone confirm that? Also, can anyone tell me where to get a reasonably priced copy of XP to load onto my MAC?
Second concern: If I get DSL, would it be advisable to use a router?
