Remember I can't test these for you. You have to find and test them. Windows 95 is a non-starter so let's hope you meant 98 SE.
I need to run windows 9x within a virtual machine in order to work with some legacy software. I also need to be able to use an Internet Browser within that sandbox.
The problem is that IE5 no longer works because SSL 2 was phased out, and IE6 should not work because it was found to be vulnerable to the POODLE attack, but IE7 requires XP at the oldest and browsers like Firefox that existed at the time don't seem to keep track of their versions for legacy use.
Additionally, I'd like to be able to modify the user agent to appear as a new version to avoid being locked out by websites that try forcing browser upgrades that won't even work.
FYI: My computer has Windows 10 and updated browsers. This is about the sandbox so please don't spam me about upgrading to another OS or some other such nonsense like I have seen in similar questions.
