I don't know what you need the camcorder for - but I would suggest that some of the newer security cameras connected to a multi-channel digital video recorder would provide video quality you need...
And with Pan-tilt-zoom, you would hve remote control of the camera's view that you would not have with a camcorder.
Boss asked me to buy a video camera with extensions to a company laptop. (This is in order to have it be placed up close to pressurised equipment that we cannot be near but need to see.)
I need higher quality video (not security camera image quality.)
The company laptops run XP and only have a Serial Port, a VGA Port, and a Network port, and a bunch of USB ports. Id like to run a wire and have it hook into a notebook. Is it possible to do this? If so, how? Would a camcorder with a USB port do the job? Whats best?
Also any suggestions for the camcorder? It needs to be around $500-$600.
thanks for your help
