I am getting this message each time start up computer? Also my F-Secure anti virus will no longer scan for viruses and appears to have been disabled? Dont know if the two are connected. I am on Windows XP. Can anyone help on this one please I would love to be able to get rid of this as soon as possible.
Spy bot appears to be finding this problem but cannot delete it?

and see if there is a entry for Backweb. If you haven't done this before, go to start, run, and type in msconfig. Click on the startup tab and scroll down the list looking for anything with backweb in the line. If you find anything, uncheck it.

Andrew, did you let Spybot
Jun 1, 2005 10:26PM PDT

fix ANY of the backweb entries it found? It appears that F-Secure uses backweb for it's updates and also on some of the installation packages which would explain both problems IF that is in fact what happened. I would check the recovery portion on Spybot and see of you can recover any entries that Spybot fixed for backweb. If you can do that, it should eliminate both the error message AND your scanning problem. If it doesn't fix it, you might have to uninstall and reinstall F-Secure and then when Spybot finds backweb again, right click on it and have it excluded from future scans. Read this link and it will explain more.
