I don't have enough clues to state what your issue/cure is, but what you've written is consistent with virus/malware damage.

All components used to be there but now when attempting to access "Windows Setup" (via clicking start, settings, control panel, add/rmv programs) the area that lists the "components" is blank and I receive two errors. The 1st reads "RUNDLL32, An error has occurred in your program. To keep working anyway click ignore & save your work to a new file. To quit this program click close. You will lose any info since last save." I can only click on the "close" button. Then the 2nd msg. appears "Rundll32 has caused an error in SETUPX.DLL Rundll32 will now close. If you continue to experience problems try restarting your computer." Restarting does not help.
Can someone help me? Please and thank-you!![]()
