HAVE XP PRF.OS.WITH 40GB hard disk,Pentium 4 with 2.4 & 256 Ram. On start up I get a message >> Error loading F:\DOCUME~1\MAHENDRA\LOCALS~1\Temp\se.dll. Access denied.
I jUst click ok & the comp works properly but this message keeps popping up as soon as I try to start a new browser. Checked Se.dll in search but does not show anything.
I suppose the file must be corrupt in system 32 but am not sure and will appreciate help.
Thanks.
Mahendra

se.dll is a BHO, (Browser Helper Object), and is spyware.

See this site for more information;

http://www.iamnotageek.com/a/se.dll.php

What anti-malware protection do you use? EG Firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-adware?

Question. Do you have an F drive? The infection is on your F drive.

Mark Thanks for your prompt reply.

Yes I have 40 GB Hard Disk with a partition. One is C drive and the other is F Drive. I am using Ad-Aware SE, Microsoft Antispyware and AVG 7 Anti Virus. Running all these do not show any spyware or virus.Will try the site and let you know.
Thanks once more.

I think you need a firewall as well.
