General advice

from this site;

http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000380.htm

''Program error, verify the program has all the latest updates. If updated try reinstalling the program. If you continue to have the same errors contact the software developer''.

Have you updated Microsoft Office lately?

If that fails to resolve the problem, before uninstalling and re-instaling Office, try this usual suspect, ''Normal.dot''

Use your Search to find all instances of Normal.dot on your computer and delete them all. Word will rebuild normal.dot the next time you start it.

If that doesn't work, I think the last option is uninstall, re-install Office.

I hope this helps.

Found Fix for Word 2000 "Runtime error 52"
Aug 27, 2005 9:17AM PDT

Many thanks Mark
I have overcome the problem!

I invesigated within the computer's "Windows Explorer" and noticed that the "WINDOWS" folder had lost the "TEMP" folder [A few months ago I noticed this folder contained a VBE folder and within a "MSForms.exd" file??]
I did a "Renistall of the Word 2000" [Used "Add/Remove" = Microsoft Word 2000 = Add/Remove = Repair = Reinstall Word 2000 = ]
Yes, I now have in the Windows Explorer the "TEMP" folder showing the "MSForms.exd" file within and not receiving ant File Errors

Try the usual NORMAL.DOT deletion first.
