I do a great deal of news scanning via RSS, but I can't really do that when driving the car (or riding for that matter, I get car sick), and I find I often have podcasts going in the background while working.
And while I can get a larger *volume* of information from RSS feeds, I get more in depth information from podcasts.
That wasn't really what you were asking, but it was the answer I wanted to give.
I know I've seem some RSS to iPod transfer programs, but the thing with those is that I only sync my iPod once a day (I sync it to a home machine and then take it to work), so by the time I get around to reading those RSS feeds they're already old news. I guess if you can sync to your office machine and take some things with you to a meeting that's different.
Even though Podcasting is the hot sexy new thing; I still find regular old RSS news feeds to be faster and more useful for gathering an abundance of information.
It would be very cool if these new media players with larger screens included a module to import unread RSS articles.
Any thoughts?
