Roxio Easy Media Creator 7... burning ?

I'm new here so hopefully I'm doing this right?

I have just purchased the Roxio Emc7 and have a slideshow ready to burn... I haven't added music as I am just a bit unsure about that yet- not sure where I trust to download and all that... But, the question is: I went to burn the DVD it said either the disk was not in OR it was not compatable?

I'm totally new to this and had my son buy me the DVD.. it is TDK DVD-R 4.7 GB The size of the project is 3160.7 MB with an estimated free space of 1539.3??

Can anyone tell me WHY this will not burn? I have burned music CDs but never a DVD.

Can ANYONE help me? I am SO SO FRUSTRATED with this Sad

Two things I can think of for you to check

First is at the dvd mfr site to see if they have any firmware updates for it

Second is to go to roxio's site to see if there are any updates for your version 7 that adds more dvd's to the list of its database.....it may not be seeing yours correctly.

What is the make and model of the DVD burner? Does it

support DVD-R? It might be DVD+R only.

Use the software/s that comes with the unit and see if that will work or not.

Looks like your PC has 1.5383 GB free and the project needs more.
