Roxio Creator 7 Driver Issues with Vista

Sep 9, 2007 5:46PM PDT

I loaded Roxio Media Creator 7 onto my new version of Windows vista with one minor annoyance. After finding out that the program was incompatible (for the most part), I uninstalled it and now I keep getting this popup stating a driver was blocked due to incompatibility issues. I searched through and removed as many references to adaptec, sonic, and roxio that I can from the registry, and still this popup exists. Anyone know what specific driver I may need to look for since the popup won't let me know?

Windows Vista Roxio Creator 7 Driver Compatibility Issues
Sep 10, 2007 1:16PM PDT

After trying the drag to disc update, the problem still exists. I tried reloading Roxio Creator 7 again and then installing drag to disc also, and the problem hasn't changed. As of right now, I've uninstalled Creator 7 and the drag to disc update. Is there any way to find out the exact driver?

Not a driver.

That's software. The drivers are fine so far for DVDRW and such drives. What many are experiencing is an issue with Roxio.

Found Solution

Went to a Microsoft Vista Forum and found solution. Went to Windows/system32/drivers folder and added a column on top to include the company who manufactured the driver. Looked for all the Roxio drivers and deleted them. After reboot, everything worked fine.
