There are normally a couple of files or folders that are installed in really obscure places that the uninstall never removes......I discovered this by accident when I upgraded my 6 Platinum and everything came up in Spanish. In order to fully remove everything in order to do a clean install again, I resorted to reading one of the .ini files and found the location of the other folders that weren't where you would expect them to be because everytime I would try to reinstall it would automatically update itself with the Spanish upgrade that it had hidden from me.
TONI
Used Roxio 4.1 for ages in order to burn CDs from vinyl.
It worked great. (I'm working on over a thousand, this may take some time)! I upgraded to 5.1 and loved it even better. When 6.2 came out, the proceedures changed and I continued to use 5.1 because it did everything I wanted with less grief. I happened to click on 4.1 (Big mistake) just to verify that it still worked. Windows XP-pro didn't like that and shut down all resources. (CD-writer and
DVD writer). After grief and aggravation, I removed 4.1 and 5.1 and 6.2 and tried to reload 6.2 and 5.1. I get an error every time.(1324 access denied). It seems there are bits and pieces of the un-install spread over three drives.
Problem....how can I eliminate this debris left behind in order to get a clean re-installation?
