The rule of consumer grade routers it's it's the price and not much else. HOWEVER all the current routers I see use a free voltage wall power supply that is good to about 240 VAC. For most of us on 110VAC this means if this router is blown out then the rest of the house is likely to have many blown lightbulbs.
