VISTA BROADCAST FLAG
I suggest you try turning that off.
When connecting to my campus network (DeVry), I am able to connect most of the time on my laptop. However, there are a few rooms where I don't get an "Excellent" signal on my Windows Vista 64-bit. The wireless router is found, but when trying to connect, there is an error stating that it can't receive any information back. My signal strength is 3/5 when this occurs. The weird part is, when I access the Wi-Fi from the SAME SPOT on my Samsung Saga Windows Mobile Smartphone, I am able to connect. Is there a setting somewhere in Vista that I have to change? Or is this just a flaw somewhere in Microsoft's coding? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.
