The only reason I find this interesting ...

... is as a window into the world of the "mainstream" media and the broadcast networks. I don't watch daytime TV at all. Clips I've heard excerpted from The View lately lead me to believe it's become somewhat more liberal and "out there" than the few episodes I saw way back when it started. I had heard that Patricia Heaton was to be joining the cast -- she's notably conservative and pro-life. But, of course, this was accompanied by rumors that the token Republican on the show now would be leaving -- still leaving Viera's spot open. This notion that a "cast" can handle only one identified as "the Republican" is intriguing. I've never heard the liberal members portrayed that way, but could be missing that.

I find O'Donnell to be obnoxious. Does she have any fans anymore?

Not a good fit, IMHO

Don't ask me why, but I feel Rosie just won't cut it. I watch the show and find the first 5-10min. the best part and can easily turn it off after that. Actually, I'm more surprised amd dismayed she on-board, I don't see a good fit here. Well, time will tell.... -----Willy
