one of that 4P connector goes to the cpu, do you already have one there?
When assembling the power supply to the case and motherboard, I came across a question that was not clarified in the instructions.
My mobo is an MSI 99s sli plus.
For the secondary motherboard power connection, the mobo has an 8 pin plug.
The power supply was only supplied with two 4 pin cables that appear to line up together to go into that port on the mobo and it very clearly states on the marleting materials that it is designed for mobos like mine.
However, I noticed that the shapes of the individual plastic pin orifices did not match 100%....some are square, some are flat on one end and rounded on the other.....as I recall, the plug that fits onto the right half of the mobo port matches but the left side does not. They both go in and seem to seat OK, but I am worried about the shapes not matching. Is this an issue? Thank you in advance.
