Rootkits

Feb 18, 2006 11:50PM PST

I have seen some videos of rootkit spyware and have downloaded and used Rootkit Revealer, the only apparent way to spot a rootkit. However it does throw up some spectacularly different results from time to time.
Having obtained these results, though, does not tell you whether they are dangerous or not, nor does it give you any indication of how to remove them.
I would be most grateful to anyone who can shed any light on these problems
