There was a security vulnerablity for that version and prior versions a year ago so it MAY have been fixed.

I'm sure you already know that using anything like this is somewhat risky such as an IM program but I know that you are cautious and well protected so you would probably be OK. I have never tried anything like this program myself.

It looked reasonably safe ... scanned it at "jotti.org" yesterday, and they said they noticed packers (compressed files), but all the scans came up clean - but they don't always catch compressed malware ... nevertheless, I have several friends (gamers) who use it and want me to, so I'll give it a shot - and kill them if they hose my system!
