There can't be any assurance that there is a safe removal. Only the newest to this scene would dare write "Do it this way, it's safe."
While it looks like http://malwaretips.com/blogs/rocket-search-removal/ will do you asked for more. That is, something that is safe. Sadly while my bet is that this procedure will do the job 99.999% of the time everyone must be prepared for a booby trapped software.

How can I safely remove this for free? I did try going to Google Chrome help bar, to tools , then to extensions, then delete and the search still comes up as my home page.
Thanks for any help you can provide. I also went to my computer and set aol as my home page, but that is not enabled either.
