Rock star Bono praises churches for AIDS response.

Dec 5, 2003 4:26AM PST

The Chicago Sun Times reported that 'Bobo credits church for leading AIDS fight'. Bono also said he was really 'surprised and even a little disappointed that I can't continue to beat up the {American} church, because they have really responded.' 'Bono particularly {credits} the Evangelical Christian community...with motivating politicians and ultimately President Bush to pony up unprecedented funding for African Aids relief.'

Well...

I was saying let's recognize when people of Christian faith put their faith into action. It's all too common to see Christians disparaged these days. This looks like the kind of action that originally founded hospitals and orphanages.

John has provided the link. I was working from the paper and did not have a link.

Hi, KP.

I agree with you, but also with Bono's frustration at the long delay in come through after Bush promised the money.
